High blood pressure is the same as hypertension. This severe health complication increases the risk of diseases such as stroke and other heart conditions. For a long time, when there is a high force exertion of blood against your artery, it causes hypertension. In today’s post, we shall be discussing the relationship between the amount of blood that the heart pumps and the resistance to blood flow in your arteries. In addition, it will be beneficial to you if you can read till the end and gain an understanding of how you can control high blood pressure. A heart attack is usually the result of uncontrolled high blood pressure.
The heart is a delicate organ because it pumps blood and oxygen throughout the body. This helps to sustain life. In a minute, the blood volume being pumped by the heart is known as a CARDIAC OUTPUT. When a person is in a resting stage, it is expected for such a person’s heart to pump about 5 litres of blood. This is done in a minute, and such a person’s heart is considered healthy. The cardiac output will be referred to as normal.
In some cases, this can be different for some people. Now, what causes hypertension (high blood pressure) in young adults? This has to do with the force relating to blood pushing against the vessel wall.
Have you experienced a situation of cardiac arrest, or is there someone close to you with such an experience? Please, share with us for others to benefit as well.
Excess body weight is one of the leading causes of hypertension. This is why people must watch what they eat and avoid body fat. Obesity raises leptin levels and triggers hypertension due to the growth of blood vessels. The blood vessels are found in the hypothalamus (this is a part of the brain that receives signals from the leptin hormone). Health care professionals usually advise and caution people against sudden weight gain. Obesity is a high-risk factor for atherosclerosis and hypertension. This is because fats deposited in the body make the arteries stiff.
Furthermore, to avoid obesity, you need to eat less. More calories will do you more harm than good. You can also increase your physical activity.
Another leading cause of hypertension is stress. When faced with a stressful situation, your heart pumps blood faster than usual. Your blood vessel becomes narrow, and this causes long-term high blood pressure. To avoid a spike in your blood pressure, you must avoid stressful situations. When faced with a difficult situation, learn to breathe and relax. If your work schedule is complicated, simplify it for yourself. Your health is more important than your work. As much as possible, get plenty of sleep weekly. Some problems are not as complex as we make them seem, but if we try to remain calm, there will be a change of perspective. Resist the temptation to complain daily. It is more important to be solution-oriented. Acknowledge it when things go wrong, and take action to make things work for the better.
You must avoid any situation leading your heart to pump more blood than usual. Be conscious of your daily activities—symptoms to look out for include blurry vision, shortness of breath, nosebleed, and more. Most importantly, don’t allow your artery walls to be damaged from overwork. To take care of this situation, you must stay hydrated by drinking 6-8 glasses of water daily. Staying hydrated is essential for blood pressure. It helps to lower and maintain the pressure. A healthy diet is vital but not enough. A healthy lifestyle includes drinking water from a good source. Water consumption helps to prevent high blood pressure and maintain the heart; it does not replace the role of medication.
To enjoy the maximum benefit of drinking water, have a water machine attached to your kitchen faucet. There are many cases where chronic dehydration increases pressure in the body. Ionised water machines are an excellent source of alkaline water. The machine produces water in an alkaline state that helps to restore the body to its original form.
Along with helping to hydrate the body, it flushes toxins from the body. Toxins are naturally occurring; they result from metabolic activities. When toxins are present in the body, they damage enzymes and lead to ageing. The ionised water can serve as a full-body detox. The water helps to flush the system of all harmful substances through the kidney, skin, and other organs in the body. For more than 40 years, Japan has been using the water machines to derive alkaline water. The water has no side effects, and it is entirely safe for use.
It is dangerous when the heart works hard to pump blood. High blood pumping leads to a hardened artery, and this is called atherosclerosis. If you suspect that your blood pressure is above the normal range, don’t fail to visit a doctor. A doctor’s visit is essential because high blood pressure often leads to death. When the human heart fails, it is a dangerous situation. Weekly, don’t fail to exercise. You can try walking, jogging and swimming whenever you are free. In order to control blood pressure, learn different ways to manage your stress level. There are many relaxation techniques that you can practice, and this includes; yoga and meditation.
